NetTracker SAN Migration: The SAN migration is nearly complete. Due to the lack of PCI slots, I could only install a single HBA adaptor into the system. Julie moved the Oracle databases over to the new SAN storage, and I have dismounted the original file systems to make sure that they were not needed. The only remaining step is to disconnect the two D1000 arrays, remove the SCSI cards, and install the second HBA for redundancy. At this time, the nightly imports are running at approximately 4 hours, which is considerably faster than the 10-12 hours that it used to take.
Mailgate Migration: The migration is scheduled for tonight. If all goes well, the master Proofpoint server and one agent will be behind the CSM. We'll also be adding two virtual machines to take up the load if it's necessary.
Blog Upgrades: I started the blog upgrades this week; however, I had to call in the change as partially complete. I ran into some minor issues with some of the themes not displaying correctly after the update. Luckily I only modified the blogs for the App Hosting team.
Jprod Updates: I provided assistance to the IDEV team to upgrade several of their applications. Java and the alias manager application were upgraded on list-srv1. The connections for short haul modems were also moved to new Satellink hardware that supports IP-based connectivity.
Last night was the first import performed with the new SAN storage. The performance is great. The import appears to have taken about 4.5 hours, which is less than half of the usual times that we have seen lately.
