I added the necessary RewriteRules last night to serve the following sites from the new servers:
The original content has been removed from web-srv1.
Web Migrations: Another VM joined the group this month to handle SSL transactions. This new server is acting as the replacement for web-srv2. Other notable migrations include:
Email Restoration: I completed an email restoration exercise. I had to restore 90 days worth of a user's email on one of the IMAP servers. The restore took nearly a week due to resources conflicts with existing jobs. Because of the limited number of tape drives, I was competing with the tapes clones. I also ran into a period of several days where the backup tapes were prematurely recycled.
Bastion Host Access: Several more accounts for non-AppHosting users have been added on the new bastion hosts.
According to an email I got, I've just won 2 million pounds. I think it's going to be difficult to collect since they neglected to include the website address where I enter my bank account numbers. Oh well. In other news, my new Latitude D820 does not recognize the hard drive this morning.
According to Ivan Fratric, the WordPress site has been compromised and malicious code has been inserted into the downloadable code. Anyone who downloaded code after Feb 25 needs to inspect their code. Our installation has been in place since before that date; however, I checked anyway, and our code is clean.
Three new sits have cutover to the new server:
And there are a couple more are in the queue for review:
For the safey conscious, I have been informed by my 5 year old that we are currently under a tomato watch.
