• Created Custom Magic Service Desk Reports, Urgencies for DOA, for Partner-Support for the Digital Dashboard.  This assignment was considered a priority.
• Co-ordinated the virtual LDAP servers creation for FEB 1 between IDEV and APP HOSTING
• Installed RHN-DB Oracle 10GR2 database and imported data. Troubleshoot and fixed OUT OF MEMORY problem for LINUX/ORACLE installs by setting kernel parameter shmmax=shmall/PAGE_SIZE
• Put DEV servers on Tape Backup – DBDEV-1 and DBDEV-2
• Set up archiving and RMAN for DEV databases vudev1, vudev2,vudev3,vudev4,vudev5
• DB-Matrix work: found 6 servers that were not on tape backup.  Requested from admins and backup admin to have them put on Tape Backup.  This started effort to check all servers for tape backup status.
• DB-Matrix work: researched DST patching for the 30 database servers.  Sent out emails to vendors, admins to contact vendors about DST patching and organizing DST Patch effert for databases.
• RUNBOOK addition: added 2 fields for DST Status
• Completed Startup and Shutdown Procedures for NETID’s NIDORAx, DB-x Database Services and Magic servers.
• Created 10gr1 test server to test Oracle’s DST patch for Nettracker servers
• Submitted PO for MYSQL support
• Tested and requested  ITS firewall ports open for 6 servers for Dogberry access
• Started working on the DOA Service Desk Web Submission Pages

2. Lucent DNS Project Overview:

Worked with consultant to install application on the oracle server.
Installed and configured 10GR2 database instance.
Installed oracle client and application client on 2 systems.
Documented how to install Oracle 10GR2 for this product. Their documentation was not valid.

3. Worked with Altiris Consultant:

Designed and Created StockRoom db within Altiris.
Created import script for stockroom data.
More work is needed to complete this.

4. Initiated and created the DataBase admin matrix that contains data about all databases managed by Application Hosting. This data includes back up status.

5. Jeff Sublett was out on vacation. I worked on all of the vunet type Magic tickets for this period.

6. The RHN database was within 3% of maxing out on tablespace. I increased the tablespace on the datafiles. Kenon will create more space on the disks in Jan, after that, I will increase the space with auto extend.
