Summer Camp Dates Announced

The dates for the CSO's GAS Camp (Girls And Science) and BEST Camp (Boys Exploring Science and Technology) are now available.

Current 7th July 16-20, 2007 June 11-15, 2007
Current 7th July 23-27, 2007 June 18-22, 2007
Current 8th July 9-13, 2007 -
Current 8th At Dyer Observatory June 25-29, 2007 -
Current 8th/9th - For returning campers only: June 25-29, 2007

Applications will be posted on the camps' websites and available at several schools throughout Metro Nashville Public Schools. Students from other school districts & private schools are welcome to attend. Click below for more information about each camp and to find the applications in early February:

Please note, the camps are not residential, so students must either live in the area or have family/friends to stay with in the Nashville area.

2007 Science Research Workshop for High School Teachers in Planning

100_0960-small.JPGDuring the summer of 2007, science teachers in Middle Tennessee are invited to register for a one-week science research series that will bring cutting-edge research scientists into dialog with science teachers. Teachers who are interested in collaborating with scientists and professional educators will be able to register beginning February 1 on the CSO website. The schedule for the workshop is currently under development.
