April 6th, 2006 by Joe Lopez

Members of ACDR conducting the The Vanderbilt Alliance for Cultural Diversity in Research (ACDR) coordinated a Family Science Night for students and families at Head Middle School on March 30th. With the help of the CSO and Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science, members of ACDR presented hands-on lessons about the cell, infectious diseases and the brain. The volunteers, who are graduate students in biomedical science departments at Vanderbilt, also gave brief descriptions and presented posters of their research to interested audiences.
